Thoth wasn’t designed to be difficult, it was designed to be true to Sacred Geometry and the principles of Golden Dawn that Waite deliberately obscured or changed in his deck.

It’s Aleistar Crowley’s Thoth deck. While it’s a nice deck to look at, it really isn’t practical and purposely drawn to be difficult to understand.

Nick, you have issues! And, by the way – what does “Slight his F***ing throat” mean, exactly? Do you mean that a Tarot card slighted your dog by ignoring the dog, or not buying him a birthday gift or what? How exactly was he “Slighted”? FYI – when posting something on a comment board such as this – - Having at least SOME knowledge of spelling is required when trying to get your message across to people. (e.g. A throat can be “slit”, but it can’t be “slight”) You ignorant fool!

gaddes- you are absolutely right, it can mean the death of adolescent life and birth into adulthood. There are four cards in the Tarot which could also represent this same situation- The Chariot, The Hanged Man, The Wheel of Fortune and The Death card….it depends upon of course where they appear in the spread, as well as what other cards are around them. So – you are definitely correct and thanks for reminding me about it! I should have included it in my original post.

WOW…ahh the profane, and their limited knowledge! Do you believe that “Death” only relates to the end of “Life”? Do not ideas die? How about love? Passion? Fads? Don’t these things also die, and thusly experience a “death”? Metaphoric meanings run through the tarot, as do archetypal symbols which can have an effect on the subconscious mind, which can help people to LEARN about life, it’s many paths, and hopefully begin making better decisions about the future.

@BabyDracula432 it really is a good little video. But do remember that it is one thing to be told about tarot card meanings but it is important that you also find your own meanings for the cards. Sometimes they will make you feel something that uniquely speaks to you. I guess what I am saying is to understand card meanings but be flexible and get a feeling for the cards.

Actually this is a great little video. I love the Rider Waite deck. The one thing I will say though is that every tarot reader should have their own feelings and understanding of the cards. Not just meanings they have been told or ones that they have read.
Great video
