Pre-Battle: Work on your team’s overall zodiac compatibility, if necessary (use the Soldier Office). You can pool any money left over into Potions and Phoenix Downs (10, minimally, although I went ahead and got 50 since my team already has good compatibility). Have everyone learn (and equip) Weapon Guard, Potion, Phoenix Down, and Equip Change. If you played conservatively last battle, you should not have unlocked any new classes at this point. Battle: Choose “Our duty is to destroy the Death Corps” to receive a +10 bonus in Bravery for all units. (+2 permanently) and avoid making the battle needlessly harder. The Thief and the Panther will give you the most trouble in this fight; the former is fast enough to get a couple of good hits in before you can react, and the later can poison your units with decent success (note: poison does not wear off in 1.3028). The Panther can also Counter (was originally Sunken State in 1.3027), so treat him like Lezales from your first fight. Overall, just maintain a steady distance and pick them off one at a time. Get into the habit of checking your enemy’s stats to find out which units are carrying the Item command, so you can go after them first and prevent a cycle of resurrection from drawing the battle out for too long.
